According to the Chesterfield County Planning Department, the comment portion of the proposed new chapter of the “Comprehensive Plan – Bikeways and Trails will focus on the long term future for non-motorized transportation in Chesterfield County.”
The Planning Commission in June conducted a public hearing on the chapter. After hearing community concerns, the planning department produced a second draft. This new draft is available at www.chesterfield.gov/bikeplan for review and comment. This comment period will be open until September 22.
The Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on the second draft of the Bikeways and Trails chapter on October 20 at their 6 p.m. session. The meeting will be held in the Public Meeting Room located at 1001 Iron Bridge Rd.
