The American flag that flew over the Chester Village Green 24 hours a day disappeared during the snow storm on January 24. The flag was an oversized flag and had to be special ordered. The flag was provided by the Kiwanis Club of Chester. They also provided lighting for the flag. It is believed that with the weight of the snow on the cable, the cable broke bringing the flag to the ground. It is believe that it may have been picked up for protection. The community would like to see the flag returned. It may be returned to the offices of Longest and Daniels located in the Argent Credit Union building at 11900 Chester Village Dr. If anyone has information on the flag, they may call Jim Daniels at 748-2240.
