Recently, rising senior linebackers Rayshard Ashby and Isaiah Moore’s recruiting stocks have increased. Ashby picked up yet another offer and perhaps his most significant from West Virginia, a school now in the Big 12 conference. The Mountaineers join what should be a growing list for a player who swept virtually every possible award last season- Conference 12 and 5A South Defensive Player of the Year, VHSL All-State, All-Metro Defensive Player of the year, Virginia Preps first team all-star, USA Today first team all-state and RVA Game Break Player of the Year. WVU joins Marshall, Maryland, James Madison, Virginia Tech and East Carolina as schools that have offered the linebacker a spot.

While Moore hasn’t carried as much fanfare, signs point to the fact that he too could be a very talented player at the college level. Last October, he got his first offer to Old Dominion and this past week, he scored an offer from Army, where Thomas Dale’s Marco Carrabotta is currently playing. In addition to his two offers, schools such as Maryland, Penn State, Virginia Tech and Virginia have also been connected to the rising senior.
