CAMP POCAHONTAS – 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Through June 24, Campers will explore the environment and life of Pocahontas and the culture of the Powhatan people through demonstrations, activities and arts and crafts. In the re-created Powhatan settlement of Arrohateck, hands-on activities will include cooking, farming, hunting, house and canoe building, fish-net weaving and making pottery, arrows and tools. VSU FARM TOUR – 9:30 a.m. until noon Take a ride on an open-air trolley, then get a walking tour of the green houses, gardens, high tunnels, aquaculture ponds, and goat yard as you learn about Virginia agriculture. Meet at the VSU Randolph Farm next door to the Ettrick-Matoaca Library.

SCALY REPTILES – 6:30 until 8 p.m. Meet reptiles from Rockwood Nature Center! Learn about snakes, lizard, and turtles. Get tips on keeping reptiles as pets. For children in grades K-5. Registration is required and began June 7. Ettrick-Matoaca Library

BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING – 3 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Chesterfield County is governed by a five-member Board of Supervisors elected by district. The Board meets at the Public Meeting Room, 10001 Iron Bridge Rd., Chesterfield.
