New retail stores and other establishments are growing like beans in a fertile garden.

Ironbridge Road is seeing the most growth with projects growing up and those being born. On land cleared next to Ironbridge Baptist Church, an Aldi grocery store will open by the end of the year. An O’Reilly Auto Parts location has begun to be built opposite the Aldi.

An Arby’s restaurant is planned north of the Kroger Marketplace in the retail space adjacent to the shopping center, a Marco’s Pizza franchise, promises a buffet of your favorite pizzas.

The Big Oak Grill will be opening in the old Klara’s Kitchun in the Water Tower Shopping Center.

A new Dunkin Donuts is being built on the north side of West Hundred Road just east of Jefferson Davis Highway in front of Flagstop Carwash.

Rosa’s Italian Restaurant has moved from Bermuda Square Shopping Center, when construction began there, to the old People’s Federal Credit Union on Old Stage Road.

A tap house, called Taphouse @ Riversbend will open soon at Riversbend Shopping Center.

In the working to get approval category, the Chesterfield planning department is now reviewing plans for a new storage facility with an office.

As the community meetings have taken place, the issues most commented on were the exterior design of the building and its location at the western entrance to west Chester on Route 10.
