Chesterfield Twinning group travels to England

Bonnie Agnell traveled with the Chesterfield Twinning Association to Gravesend, Kent, England the week of March 19-25 to participate in the commemoration events to acknowledge the 400th anniversary of the death of Pocahontas. Gravesend is where Pocahantas is buried.

CHESTERFIELD TWINNING GROUP

There were multiple commemoration events over several days, including a procession through the streets of Gravesend to the church. The theme of the commemoration highlighted how after 400 years Pocahontas is still bringing the people of America and England together. The photo includes members of the Gravesham Town Twinning Association and members of the Chesterfield Twinning Association.
