Buckskin, muskets, a colonial- style militia from Henricus, historical interpreters and a Native American drum group offered a walk back into history at the annual Falling Creek Ironworks Event Saturday.

Visitors to the park located at 6370 Jefferson Davis Highway found a variety of vendors and displays, along with period history demonstrations.

In addition to the colonial history, Native Americans were on hand to demonstrate native culture.

Participants in the event included Mahone’s Forge Historical Productions, Henricus Militia, History Inc. / The Press Gang (musical performances, candle making, period children’s games), Wolf Creek Cherokee Tribe Native American dance and drum group, Janice Smith “Merphi the Clown” (face painting), Tommy Custalow Musical Trio, William Rose (historical interpreter), and the Falling Creek Ironworks
