Police arrest robbery suspect

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY – Police have arrested a man who allegedly robbed the Car Stop
Food Mart located at 7431 Jefferson Davis Highway at about 6:50 p.m. on Tuesday, March
27. No one was injured during the incident.

Police said the man approached the clerk and passed a note demanding money. The
man allegedly fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money belonging to the business. There
was no weapon displayed during the incident.

Once police arrived in the area they located the suspect a short distance from the
scene. Police arrested Randolph E. Blackmon, 44, of Chesterfield, for robbery and threaten
to bomb in relation to the incident. Blackmon is currently being held at the Chesterfield
County Jail without bond.
