July Jingle Trail Run to benefit Christmas Mother program

CHESTERFIELD – Want to exercise in the beauty of nature and support a great cause? Come and participate in the second annual July Jingle Trail Run, a fundraiser benefiting the Chesterfield-Colonial Heights Christmas Mother program.

The event will take place Saturday, July 28 at Pocahontas State Park, 10301 State Park Road, and will include both a 1K Kids Fun Run and a 5K Run/Walk for adults.

The Kids Run will begin at 8 a.m. and the 5K will begin at 8:30 a.m. There will be prizes for best individual and team holiday costumes as well as snacks, music and more.

The July Jingle Trail Run is a popular community event. Sponsors are encouraged to visit the Jingle Run website and to support the event by partnering with the Christmas Mother Program to serve those in need.

Registration can be done online and is $12 for the Kids Run and $35 for the 5K. Donations of new board books and unwrapped board games are greatly appreciated.

The Chesterfield-Colonial Heights Christmas Mother Program is a non-profit organization that strives to ensure that no family is without food; no child is without toys, books or clothing; and no elder is forgotten in the community during the holidays. The organization serves over 4,500 people in low-income homes.
