Virginia Cooperative Extension’s Master Food Volunteer training program is a great opportunity for those who love cooking and learning about nutrition and wellness, to be trained to empower others to make healthy lifestyle changes. The City of Petersburg and Chesterfield County offices of Virginia Cooperative Extension will co-sponsor a four-part program this March to train volunteers to serve as community experts in basic nutrition and healthy cooking.

A $90 participant fee for the class covers the curriculum, educational materials, apron, food demonstration costs, and background check (non-refundable fee of $10). Lunch will be provided each day of the training.

The Master Food Volunteer Program will be conducted from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Tuesdays, March 10-31, with a snow date of April 7 at Virginia State University- Virginia Cooperative Extension.
