The Chester Rotary welcomed the largest crowd yet to their annual Grillin’ on the Green event last Thursday. Patrons enjoyed several samplings of area barbequer’s best recipes, but only one could be named Chester’s best barbeque. The 2013 people’s choice barbeque title was won by Bigs BBQ.
The Clarke house on Centralia Road could be saved after all. According to real estate attorney, Carrie Coyner, who is now representing the owner, the house could be renovated by a potential buyer.
The Chester Baptist Church Preschool welcomed the flight crew from the VCU Med-Flight team on Wednesday May 2 as a part of their “Community Helpers Week.” The children were able to watch the helicopter fly in and descend into the front parking lot and received a lesson on how the Med-Flight works to help others.
