In 2014, Virginia outlawed the dissemination of explicit photos or videos without the consent of the person seen in the images. The images may have been originally shared in agreement between both parties, but in cases of revenge porn, get posted online by people seeking to embarrass the victim. “They put them on a website with the intent to coerce, harass or maliciously hurt those folks,” said Del. The Chesterfield County Public Schools Board voted 4-0 last week to approve its Fiscal Year 2020 budget. Midlothian District board member Javaid Siddiqi was absent for the Feb. 26 meeting. Development is pending on this vacant lot across from the Central Library. For those who have been wondering, it’s “hurry up and wait” for the Myers Retail site. The site at 9601 Lori Road across from the Central Library has had some activity, but mainly just some tree clearing, according to Ben Myers of the Myers Family Partnership. Only 3.38 acres of the 30-acre site are to be disturbed, he said, noting that a 4,585-square-foot, two-story building is planned. CHESTERFIELD — After serving the citizens of Chesterfield County for nearly a half-century, Chesterfield Board of Supervisors Vice Chairman Steve A. Elswick announced Friday that he will not seek a third term on the board. Elswick began his service to Chesterfield County as a firefighter in 1973.
