The Kiwanis Club of Chester is having its annual Chester 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk May 6. This is a good question, and it’s one Bruce Peterson asks his “Geometry in Construction” class at Carver College and Career Academy, where he has been teaching for the last five years. Until this year, Patterson has been teaching construction trades, and geometry was only a side subject, taught in a small room off the carpentry class, to teach carpentry students the geometry needed to square a wall or cut a rafter.               Buckskin, muskets, a colonial- style militia from Henricus, historical interpreters and a Native American drum group offered a walk back into history at the annual Falling Creek Ironworks Event Saturday. Visitors to the park located at 6370 Jefferson Davis Highway found a variety of vendors and displays, along with period history demonstrations.
