School start times could change if several pieces fall into place. The Chesterfield School Board could be swapping elementary and high school start times but it may take some time to implement. After some grappling, CCPS has settled on a plan to swap high school and elementary school start times, shifting the elementary school start time by 25 minutes. While the sale of homes in Chesterfield County is just a bit lower than last year; home prices have plummeted since its peak in July of last year. March 2015 posted 368 homes sold compared with 370 units in March of this year. Both are well below that measured last July (635 or about 18 percent). Sales tend to trend up during the summer as families want to buy and get acclimated before their kids go to school. But the market has been a little tough in recent years. Brennan and LauraBrooke McCarney, both third generation Chester residents competed in the Irish Dance Worlds this April in Brighton England. They are holding the Village News that featured an article on their uncle, Bryan Sheetz, of Hands and Pans. Brennan placed in the top three of his age division and LauraBrooke was the only American to place in the top three in her age division.

The children gathered together on the mat with green, red, yellow and blue squares, some children were giggling; some sat wide-eyed starring at the table with unfamiliar items on it, in at Meadowville Library. The man at the table, Terry Rosvall, a bee keeper, prepared to share some tips on how to “bee-happy.” A strange looking wooden box on the table was a mystery. The Falling Creek Ironworks Foundation will present its free annual event on Saturday, May 21 at 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. This event offers an opportunity to explore the site of America’s first iron furnace, the 1619-22 ironworks on Falling Creek, and to see some of the improvements recently added to the park. Guides will lead tours through the archaeological ruins of the 1619 ironworks. Other activities include exhibits, costumed interpretation, musket militia demonstrations and Native American dancing. Nick Hackett is passionate about car racing, he has been navigating race cars since he was thirteen.Now, five years later, it continues to be his passion.
