CHESTERFIELD COUNTY — Residents are encouraged to start the new year with training that will help prepare them for disasters and emergencies. Chesterfield County’s popular Community Emergency Response Team, or CERT, training is scheduled to begin on Jan. 4 and end on Feb. 15. By Danielle Ozbat In an effort to foster better community relations and create a positive impression of police, the Chesterfield County Police Department executed a policy change that allows police officers to issue written warnings for minor traffic offenses. During the warmest days of 2016 (June 28 – August 5), Chesterfield County conducted a quality of life survey called the Blueprint Chesterfield. The highpoints of the public service portion of the survey highlighted every aspect of what police Corp. George Fisher has done on the Jefferson Davis Highway corridor.
