Crime Solvers needs your help to solve a credit card fraud. On July 7, two males were seen entering the Walmart located in the 12000 block of Iron Bridge Road. Loss prevention personnel saw these men attempting to use multiple credit cards to purchase pre-paid Visa gift cards. Chesterfield County Police have been advised that at least one of these credit cards was stolen. The first suspect is described as a white male with a stocky build wearing a light blue T-shirt. The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to solve a commercial burglary. On July 10, unknown suspects entered the Raceway gas station in the 1900 block of West Hundred Road. While investigating the scene, Chesterfield County police discovered the suspects had entered the business by cutting a hole in the building’s exterior wall. The suspects then proceeded to break into the safe and steal thousands of dollars in cash and consumables. Additionally, they caused over $2,500 in physical damage to the Raceway. Earlier this year, the Chesterfield County Police Department began issuing written warnings for minor traffic infractions. Officers have always been able to issue verbal warnings for minor traffic violations that do not pose an immediate or significant hazard or danger to the public, and written warnings are not replacing verbal warnings. Now, officers have the option to end a traffic stop with a verbal warning, a written warning or a traffic summons. Traffic safety is a significant issue in Chesterfield County, according to officials; in 2015, police investigated 22 traffic-related deaths.
