The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to solve a series of shootings. On Sunday, June 12, four shootings into occupied vehicles involving the use of BB or pellet guns occurred in Chesterfield County. They all occurred between noon and 4 p.m. The first two incidents were in the area of Old Hundred Road near the Brandermill subdivision. Chesterfield County residents are invited to spend an evening outdoors with neighbors and police on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 6 p.m. until 10 p.m., for National Night Out, an annual event held across the country to strengthen neighborhood and police-community partnerships, while heightening crime- and drug-prevention awareness. The Chesterfield County Police Department recently held a kickoff event for this year’s National Night Out, and is looking for neighborhoods to register their parties this August. On May 1 at 10:20 p.m., the Exxon at 2708 Buford Road was robbed at gunpoint. A male suspect approached the counter, demanded cash and pointed a gun at employees.
