A couple of years ago, Dr. Tom Lovorn, the pastor at God’s Storehouse Baptist Church, noticed there were no safe walkways for people in the neighborhood. He noticed many people walking in the roads, pushing baby carriages, people using walkers, etc.
It was 40 years ago when Colonial Honda opened its doors and they were recently honored by Honda Motor Company for their success.
First Baptist Church of Centralia was approved for historic landmark designation during the last Board of Supervisors meeting. The designation had been approved by the Historic Preservation Committee and the Planning Commission prior to being considered by the Board.
Applications are now being taken for the 2014 Miss Chesterfield County Fair Queen (ages 17-21) and Princess (ages 3-16) pageants. All forms/info may be found at www.chesterfieldcountyfair.org. The deadline is July 26 and numbers are limited so don’t delay.
