Free health screenings this Friday

Capital Area Health Network, a non – profit health organization with six different locations across Richmond dedicated to improving the health status and quality of life within all communities in the greater Richmond area, is hosting a free Health Screening available to all kids and adults in the county of Chesterfield.

Community meeting scheduled

Bermuda District Supervisor Dorothy Jaeckle and Matoaca District Supervisor Steve Elswick will hold a combined meeting to discuss “Recreational use of explosive targets update.”

Chester Baptist Companion Suppers resume

This Thursday, October 2 at 6 p.m., Companion Dinners at Chester Baptist Church will continue. These dinners were started in 1998 and were designed for people who are eating at home alone and for anyone who wants to come and enjoy a good dinner in a friendly atmosphere.

Bunco friendship is honored

For over 40 years once a month, the social dice game, Bunco, brought these ladies together. Lasting friendships were formed and besides enjoying the dice game, where you only need to know how to roll dice and count, the ladies would each bring a dish for dinner

Thrilling Day at ChesterFest

Last Saturday, the Chester Community Association (CCA) hosted our thirteenth ChesterFest. I served on the original board that created the annual event and I co-chaired and chaired the event for the first three years.
