A cold snap here and a coating of snow there, during this winter’s Richmond area weather, is no comparison to the summer cold of Antarctica. Maggie Walker Governor’s School teacher and Chester resident Lynn Reed explored science outside of the area, spending last summer on an Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellowship.
Visit Henricus Historical Park on March 22 and 23 to commemorate the anniversary of the 1622 Virginia Indian offensive which destroyed Henricus. A ceremony on Friday will honor English lives lost and perspectives of both Virginia Indians and colonists will be explored on Saturday.
The Swift Creek Mill Playhouse will present a special art event in conjunction with their upcoming play, Honky Tonk Angels. Chesterfield artist, Terry Lacy will display her artwork, featuring “Spirited Women and Country Culture,” during the six- week run of the play.
