Women’s Club presents check to arts foundation

The Woman’s Club of Chester presented a $2,500 check to the Chesterfield Center for the Arts Foundation to be used toward the construction of the long-awaited Chesterfield Center for the Arts that will be located in Chester adjoining the existing Chester Library on Centre Street.

Troop 325: Making a difference

Girl Scout Troop 325 has been very busy this year. They are a multi-level troop sponsored by Ecoff Elementary School. “The girls are rapidly becoming leaders,” said Sylvia Wall.

Local Cub Scouts learn about conservation, Scout belt loops

On Saturday, April 28, the boys from Cub Scout Pack 2877 in Chester, along with their “Akelahs”, participated in a pack service project to count toward many of their belt loop and pin requirements, as well as their Pack Conservation Good Turn award.
