The Chesterfield County Planning Commission completed their review and edits of the countywide draft comprehensive plan in November and presented it to the Board of Supervisors after two-and-a-half years and as much as $1.5 million.

The war officially ended in Iraq last week with most of the troops home for Christmas, but for the troops in Afghanistan, the war continues and deployment is longer than six months.
Sgt. Jason Glidden, 36, was originally set for a one year deployment in Iraq, leaving behind a heavyhearted family knowing dad would miss Christmas. Last Tuesday, his three children were given a Christmas to remember; dad came home early.
