Police seek robbery suspect

Police are searching for a man who robbed the Orange Market, 9500 Newbys Bridge Road, at about 6 a.m. on Tuesday, April 3. No one was injured during the incident.

Teachers urge Governor to veto VRS overhaul

Virginia teachers and firefighters are urging Gov. Bob McDonnell to veto legislation overhauling the retirement plan for the state’s public employees.

Dems caucus

The Colonial Heights Democratic Committee has issued a call to caucus in order to elect four delegates and one alternate to the 4th Congressional District Convention and the Virginia Democratic Convention. The caucus will be held on Monday, April 23, 2012, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
