Meadowbrook seniors start new journey

The 2011 graduating class from Meadowbrook High School ended their high schools years with inspiring and motivating messages from the speakers during their commencement exercises last Friday. But after all the speeches, well-wishes and honors, it was the recognition of the very first graduate to receive his diploma that set the stage for the remainder of the candidates as they crossed the stage.

L.C. Bird: Team work, memories, gains and losses speaker’s theme

The L.C. Bird Class of 2011 took part in the 32nd Commencement exercises for L.C. Bird High School and the Governor’s Academy for Engineering Studies. Four hundred twenty-four graduates received their diplomas during the Friday afternoon ceremonies.

Chesterfield Community High School: SOARing with love, luck and oppurtunity

Chesterfield Community High School held their 12th annual Commencement exercises last Saturday afternoon in the Verizon Wireless Stuart C. Siegel Center at Virginia Commonwealth University. One hundred sixty-seven graduates received their diplomas.

Chesterfield graduated 1,950 students in 1980, a little under a half of the total 4,200 or so for this year.

BURNT OAK DR  6/2  Ivy Walk Apartments.  Victim reported her locked storage unit was entered and the listed property was stolen.

SALEM CHURCH RD  5/28  Suspect entered victim’s residence by unknown means, removed the keys to his red 2010 Dodge Charger and took the vehicle.  The vehicle was returned and parked closer to the victim’s residence than he normally parks.
