Thomas Dale High School senior Ka’lia Johnson was 2 years old when she first began bouncing a basketball. Recently, her love and passion for the game, along with her focus on academics, Ka’lia Johnson after she signed the letter of intent with Duke.gave her reason to celebrate, as, surrounded by family, friends and mentors, she signed a letter of intent to play Division-I basketball for Duke University next winter.

Therapy center still growing, still caring

The painting of a shining sun on the horizon with the inscription “I Can” hanging over the entry to the rehabilitation room at Chester Physical Therapy emphasizes the care received from its therapists and the response from their patients. Local artist Danny Cribb gave the wood block painting to Richard Muth, owner of the rehabilitation center, during his treatment for a knee surgery a couple of years ago.

DORIUS DR 11/12 Kings Forest. Entry is believed to have been gained to the residence through a rear bedroom window, where the AC unit can easily be removed. Property was stolen from inside.

COLLINDALE RD 11/14 Heritage Court Apartments. Suspect/s broke out the glass in the rear door in order to gain entry. Property was stolen.

MARTINGALE RD 11/06 Colonial Ridge Apartments. Unknown suspect/s entered the victim’s apartment through an unlocked door and took property from inside.
