Curtis students collect 250 coats for kids

Students from Curtis Elementary collected used coats again this year to donate to Puritan Cleaners Coats for Kids. Juan Conde from WRIC-TV was there last Thursday to help cheer the students on as they brought the coats to the donation truck. The school held a contest among the students for the classroom who collected the most donated coats. The school collected over 250 coats, with Mrs. Roinnel’s first grade classroom collecting the most. O n November 1, 2010, I retired from a great organization, Chesterfield Fire & EMS. While I still serve as a fire department chaplain and a member of the peer support team, I no longer climb on an engine or ladder truck every third day. Many have asked, do you miss it?
