New chair for Supervisor Jim Holland
0James “Jim” M. Holland, CPA, has been elected as the chair of the Virginia Board of Accountancy’s Standard-Setting Advisory Committee. Holland was appointed by Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe in July 2016. He also is the Dale District representative on the Chesterfield County Board of Supervisors. The Virginia Board of Accountancy (VBOA) supports the accounting profession not only in the Commonwealth, but on the national level as well. Current and previous board members, as well as the VBOA Executive Director, serve on committees and roles with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy.
World Trade Center steel finds place of honor in Eagle Scout’s project

0CHESTER – To develop the skills and knowledge needed for careers in electrical engineering technology, hands-on training using industry-standard controls is vital. Now, thanks to a $40,000 gift from Dominion Resources, John Tyler Community College (JTCC) is able to offer its students even more opportunities to learn on state-of-the-art equipment.
