Crime Solvers is asking for your help to solve a robbery. On May 30 at approximately 8:30 p.m., a man entered the GameStop at 11633 Midlothian Turnpike. He immediately approached the counter and demanded cash. After taking the money, the suspect fled the store and was last seen running toward Busy Street. Central Library visitors had the opportunity to stroll through a multitude of artistic and inventive exhibitions at the Chesterfield Maker Expo 2016 this past Saturday. The Maker Expo, a free event beginning at 10 a.m. and ending at 3 p.m., was especially entertaining for families. Balloon to Fly at the Height of a Proposed Building

Extending to the height of a proposed indoor storage building, a test balloon will be flying above a property on the corner of Old West Hundred and West Hundred roads on June 9 from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. with a rain date on June 10. Rising Thomas Dale High School junior Luke Fields loves languages. With a personal goal to learn and speak several languages – Spanish, French, German and Russian – Fields is completing his second year with Japanese classes at Thomas Dale earning high honors. Good grades and motivation earned him a spot for intensive study into the language this summer during the 29th Annual Virginia Governor’s Japanese Academy at Randolph-Macon College, sponsored by the Virginia Department of Education.
