Dr. Wynne LeGrow, the Democratic nominee for Congress in Virginia’s Fourth Congressional District, recently opened three campaign offices, according to a press release from his campaign. The offices are located in Petersburg, Emporia and Chesapeake.

Forbes announces job fair in Chesterfield

U.S. Rep. J. Randy Forbes will host a job fair with area businesses in Chesterfield County on Wednesday, Aug. 11, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lloyd C. Bird High School, according to a press release. The job fair is free and open to all constituents who are interested in learning about available jobs with area businesses.

Local students earn scholarships at VT

John-Charles Holmes, of Chester, and Caroline Moon, of Chesterfield, earned the Pamplin Leader Award from Virginia Tech. The award comes with a $1,000 tuition scholarship and the opportunity to apply for the Pamplin Scholar award, a merit-based scholarship equal to tuition and fees for four years at Virginia Tech, the following year, according to information from the school.
