Matoaca High Fashion Marketing students visited Nordstrom at Short Pump Town Center on October 10, for a store management presentation.  The students learned many important facts about Nordstrom; the management function, job opportunities, merchandising and customer service, just to name a few.  The students were able to meet the store manager, the human resource manager, the stylist manager and a department manager.  The students were able to gain insight into the role of store personnel in today’s retail environment. According to Mrs. Heather Viar, the marketing instructor, the trip provided students with hands-on opportunities to learn about the fashion industry from the experts.
