Wawa celebrates 10th years at three locations

Wawa, Inc. celebrated the 10th anniversary of three of their Virginia stores, two in Chesterfield at 11701 Jefferson Davis Hwy. and 15840 Jefferson Davis Hwy and one in Colonial Heights at 604 Boulevard. To honor the special anniversaries, Wawa hosted three family reunion-style in-store celebrations.

During the festivities, Wawa toasted the generations of customers and associates for their friendship and business throughout the years through free coffee all day.  They also recognized the Central Virginia Chapter of JDRF with a donation of $51,135 raised during Wawa’s in-store coin and scan campaign that took place in Virginia Wawa stores in September.

Along with a parade with Wawa’s mascot, Wally Goose, longest-term associates were recognized at each store, as well as key customers who have frequented the stores since the first day of opening. They were presented with Wawaversary travel mug, filled with one month’s worth of free Wawa coffee coupons, a Wawa T-shirt and presented a ceremonial “key to the store.”
