On Monday, December 3, Ettrick Elementary School received a generous grant from The Ettrick Neighborhood and Business Foundation (ENBF). The grant, presented by ENBF President Sterling L. Hawkins, and ENBF Vice-President Nancy Ross, totaled $10,000, which is earmarked to replace outdated playground equipment. The award was presented to principal, Teressa Clary, as Ettrick students demonstrated delight and enthusiasm with spontaneous, thunderous applause. Brenda Branch, physical education teacher and Playground Committee Coordinator, spearheaded the application process for the grant. “We are thrilled we had an opportunity to apply for and receive the fund for the Ettrick playground equipment,” said Brenda Branch. “Students at Ettrick Elementary will benefit from ENBF’s grant for many years to come. We are all very thankful that they chose us to be recipients of their generosity,” said Teressa Clary.
