Eggcellent little devils

Chester Resident, Julie Frame, was awarded second place in the Virginia Egg Council’s “Tasty Little Devils Recipe” contest. The competition took place recently during the 96th Annual Virginia Association of Fairs Conference held at The Homestead in Hot Springs. Frame, a top winner at the 2012 Chesterfield County Fair, was eligible to compete in the finals based on her deviled egg recipe, “Pickled Beet Deviled Eggs.” Judged by acclaimed executive chefs at the historic resort, Frame’s winning recipe was critiqued on presentation, flavor, ethnicity and color. The dish was also recognized for its beautiful presentation in the challenge.
