Alford earns Gold Star at The Citadel

Nicholas Lee Alford of Chester, Va., was recently honored for outstanding academic achievement at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, during the fall semester of the 2012-2013 academic year.
Alford earned one of the college’s top academic honors, a Gold Star. Gold Stars are presented to students who achieve a 3.7 grade point average or higher during a semester’s course work. Gold Stars are worn on the collar of the cadet full dress and dress uniforms and the summer leave uniform.
Alford is a cadet seeking a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at The Citadel.
