The Chesterfield Employee Association is seeking eight individuals to serve on a special board to plan, coordinate and execute its annual Canine Carnival event. This successful event was held in 2010 and 2011 with more than 1,000 people and their dogs attending. The event is typically held the last Saturday in October, and the board will be responsible for planning the 2013 event.
An application must be completed for consideration to serve on the Canine Carnival board. The duties are to assist with all planning aspects of the event, including coordination with vendors and sponsors, collecting door prizes, planning games and other activities, setting up for the event and cleaning up afterwards, etc. Most of the planning meetings will occur after 5 p.m. on weekdays. Meetings will become more frequent as the event date becomes closer.
