Marketplace on JD robbed

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to catch a robber who struck twice in the same day.

On Monday, Feb. 4, at about 6 a.m., a man walked into Marketplace 105, 7933 Jeff Davis Hwy., wearing a mask over the lower part of his face and holding a dark-colored revolver. He went behind the counter, forced the clerk to open the register, took the cash and ran from the store.

Then, at approximately 7:30 p.m. the same evening, the same man robbed Tobacco Hut, 11968 Iron Bridge Plz.

The suspect was a white male, 30-35 years old, approximately 6 feet tall and 190 pounds. He had light hair and eyebrows and grey/blue eyes. He was wearing a dark coat, light pants and a dark ball cap. You can see pictures of the suspect at www.crimesolvers.net.
