Enon announces Students of the Year

Chesterfield County Public Schools annually honors two students from every school for demonstrating citizenship and the school division’s core values of respect, responsibility, honesty and accountability. During a 6 p.m. -8:30 p.m. banquet at the Holiday Inn Koger Center,  Alexis Warnock (second grade) and Alyson Maddy (fifth grade) will represent Enon Elementary School among the 124 students from Chesterfield’s 62 schools as they are recognized as Students of the Year for 2013.

Both girls embody both the Chesterfield County Schools Core Values and the Enon PRIDE values of positive attitude, respect and responsibility, integrity, determination and excellence,” said their principal, Mike Crusco.  “Both students were selected from a very worthy group of nominated students by committee made up of teacher grade-level representatives, resource teachers and special education teachers.” Adding, “These students are viewed by their teachers as wonderful citizens, tireless workers and incredible helpers.”

Mrs. Reiber, Alexis’s second grade teacher, said, “Alexis is a steadfast, conscientious worker who shows PRIDE in all her work. Her willingness to help others has made her one of the most well-liked members of our class.”

Mrs. Roye, Alyson’s fifth grade teacher, shared, “Alyson is a model student. She is hardworking and conscientious. Alyson is kind to everyone and brings out the best in her classmates.”
“Enon Elementary is very proud of both of these wonderful young ladies,” said Crusco.
