The Chesterfield County Democratic Committee will hold a panel discussion on women’s rights on Wednesday, May 1 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Chesterfield County Central Library at 9502 Lori Rd., Chesterfield. Panel discussion on women’s issues including violence against women, ERA, immigration and reproductive health care, followed by a presentation to inform citizens and create a valuable dialogue.
Invited panelists include Sangeeta Darji, Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney, Chesterfield County; The Honorable Delores McQuinn, Member, Virginia House of Delegates; Robin Abbott, Esq., former Member, Virginia House of Delegates and current treasurer and member of the Board of Directors of the Women’s Strike Force; Diana Egozcue, President, Virginia NOW; Aida Pacheco, Comprehensive Immigration Reform advocate; and the Honorable Charniele Herring, former Chair of the Women’s Reproductive Rights Caucus and current Chair of the Democratic Party of Virginia,
The panel will be moderated by Chesterfield County Democratic Committee Executive Board member and Magisterial Chair, Candace Graham.
At the close of the panel, Delegate Jennifer McClellan (D-Richmond) will provide an update about women’s issues and the recently concluded 2013 General Assembly Session.
