Police arrest robbery suspect

Police have arrested a man in relation to two robberies that occurred in February 2013 in Chesterfield County.

On Feb. 4, 2013, at about 6:10 a.m., an unknown suspect entered the Marketplace, 7933 Jefferson Davis Hwy., displayed a handgun and demanded money. The clerk complied and the suspect fled on foot. No one was injured.

Later that day, at about 7:40 p.m., an unknown suspect entered the Tobacco Hut, 11968 Iron Bridge Plz., displayed a handgun and demanded money. The clerk complied and the suspect fled the scene. No one was injured.

On Friday, May 31, police arrested and charged Allen B. Anderson, 45, in connection with both robberies. Anderson, of the 10000 block of South General Boulevard, faces two counts each of robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a subject found not guilty by means of insanity.

A second man, Ralph M. Anderson, 47, was arrested Sunday, June 2, and charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit a felony in relation to the incident at the Tobacco Hut. The two men, who are brothers, reside at the same address.

Allen Anderson is being held at Riverside Regional Jail without bond. Ralph Anderson is being held at the Chesterfield County Jail without bond.
