Crime Solvers searching for sex offender

The Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program needs your help to identify and locate a sex offender.

Around 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, a woman was in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven at Turner Road and Midlothian Turnpike when she was approached by a thin white male driving a red vehicle. The man asked her if she needed a ride, and she ignored the man and continued walking on her way. Approximately 15 minutes later, the same man stopped her on Cloverleaf Drive near Turner Road, and again asked her if she wanted a ride. She noticed that the man was exposing himself to her, so she screamed and he drove away.

The suspect was a white male. He appeared to be in his 40s, and had a thin build, close-cut, light-colored hair and small-framed eyeglasses. He wore a dark shirt with light-khaki pants. Surveillance cameras at the 7-Eleven revealed that the car he was driving was a red Ford Mustang with a tan convertible top.

Pictures of the suspect and his vehicle can be seen on the Crime of the Week page at www.crimesolvers.net.
