Four Chesterfield students receive scholarships from Virginia Credit Union

Virginia Credit Union has awarded $2,500 college scholarships to four Chesterfield County students.

  • Jacob Clarke of Midlothian, a graduate of Manchester High School, who will attend Liberty University and study business communications.
  • Kaylor Nichols of Chester, a second-year student at the University of Virginia studying accounting.
  • Elizabeth Surma of South Chesterfield, a junior at the College of William and Mary studying psychology and education.
  • Megan Tatum of Chester, a sophomore at the College of William and Mary studying kinesiology and health sciences.

The scholarships were awarded on the basis of scholastic achievement, community service, extracurricular activities, an essay, and work to help defray the cost of education.
