For two months Ecoff students in all grade levels participated in a planning, constructing and installing a bottle cap mural for the courtyard. First, the students collected many caps then, the MOID (moderate intellectual disability) and kindergarten classes sorted all the caps into colors.  All other grade levels voted on design choices and began painting the boards. Second through fifth grade students helped to attach bottle caps, first by gluing then adding a screw in each lid. There are over 5,000 lids on the 4x14-foot mural that pictures birds and bird houses behind a white fence. According to teachers, it was a fun way to recycle.  Participating classes  dedicated the mural on Tuesday, June 11.
