Vehicle crashes into mobile home

A mobile home had an expected visitor on July 1 around 11:54 p.m., a vehicle. County police, along with fire and medical personnel were dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle crash on the backside of Chimney Corner Trailer Park in the 8600 block of Perrymont Road at Chester Road to find a Mercedes Benz embedded into the mobile home. The driver of the Mercedes Benz failed to stop at the Chester Road stop sign, ran across the roadway crossing Perrymont, hitting a deep ditch then continuing onward and upward until slamming into and entering a mobile home, according to Chesterfield Police. Police said the driver was charged with failure to obey a stop sign. The mobile home was vacant. Police said no injuries were reported.

Crash and fire
County police along with fire and medical personnel from Chester and Dale fire stations were dispatched to Iron Bridge and Courtyard roads on July 5 at 5:35 p.m. for a motor vehicle crash. Fire in one of the vehicles was reported to emergency communications. When crews arrived on scene they reported smoke from one of the vehicles. The situation was soon brought under control. The crash is under investigation.
