Overall, though, Jaeckle was happy with the win, which perches them atop the Central District standings.
In a game that was never seriously in doubt, Anna Rollins dominated the defensive end, Hannah Robbins led the offensive charge, and Savannah Cummings earned a shutout in goal. The Knights still have a few district hurdles to overcome, but are looking forward to post-season play again this fall. “We have a tradition to uphold in going to states,” says Rollins. Coach Jaeckle has led the Knights to the state playoffs each of the last three seasons. She credits her foundation to coach Debby Howard, who led the very successful program prior to turning the reins over to her former star.
Look for the Knights to again represent the Central District as strong contenders for another Central Region title in 2009.
