The Next Level: Pegram, Reynolds, Howard

Freshman at Chesapeake College
Pegram has made a splash playing for Chesapeake College, who is ranked eighth in the country among Division II junior colleges. The former Monarch is leading the 18-0 Skipjacks in scoring at 23.3 points per game and shooting an efficient 46 percent from the floor while averaging 6.2 rebounds and 5.1 assists per contest. As a senior, Pegram led the Monarchs to a 24-4 record and region semi-final appearance. Her play earned her Central District Player of the Year honors. Pegram graduated Meadowbrook as their all-time leading scorer with 1,604 points. The guard is a candidate to transfer to a D-1 or D-2 school for her sophomore season.

Freshman at Queens University of Charlotte
At Thomas Dale, Reynolds participated in the long jump, high jump and the 4 x 100 relay. The freshman jumped a career best 5 feet 5 inches in the high jump while at Thomas Dale. At the Niswonger Invitational January 18-19, Reynolds set a Queens record in the high jump with a leap of 5 feet 4.25 inches. That jump landed her in 11th place in the meet. Multi-talented, Reynolds participated in dance at the specialty center at Thomas Dale.

Howard has earned more minutes thus far in her sophomore season for the Panthers, averaging nearly 10 minutes per contest and a bucket per contest. In Howard’s second collegiate game last season, she scored a career high 12 points against Glenville State. At Meadowbrook, Howard battled through some injuries, but schools noticed her work ethic on the defensive side of the ball and the ability to score. The former Monarch was known for her leadership on and off the floor.
