FIRE OFFICIALS RELEASE NAME OF FIRE VICTIM

The Chesterfield County Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded Sunday, February 9, at 2:32 p.m. to 3200 Appleford Drive in Longmeadow for the report of a house fire. Fire crews arrived on scene to find heavy smoke conditions throughout the house. They were notified by a resident that there was someone still inside the home. Crews located one male victim in a first floor bedroom. They rescued the victim from the house and transported him to VCU Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

          The victim has been identified as Victor L. Robinson, 36, of 3200 Appleford Drive, in Chester. The Medical Examiner has determined the cause of death to be carbon monoxide poisoning as a result of smoke inhaled from the fire. 

POLICE SEEK ROBBERY SUSPECTS

 Police are searching for two men who robbed the Pizza Hut at 5718 Hopkins Road at about 8:22 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 10. No one was injured during the incident.

       Police said two men, armed with handguns, entered the business, approached employees and demanded money. The suspects took cash from the register, an employee and a customer. Upon receiving the money, the suspects fled.

       The first suspect is described as a black male, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing all black clothing and had a black and white cloth over his face.

       The second suspect is described as a black male, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was wearing all black clothing and a gray cloth over his face.
