VSU student honored as a University Innovation Fellow

Ulysses S. Knight, III of Phoenixville, Pa. a Virginia State University Project Management master’s degree candidate, has completed training to join the University Innovation Fellows, a national program that empowers student leaders to bring more entrepreneurial activity to their campuses.  Knight joins a national network of 110 University Innovation Fellows from 78 schools across the country.

Knight obtained his B.S. degree in Business Management with a minor in International Business from VSU as well.  As an undergraduate, he studied abroad in Shanghai, China, focusing on International Business in a Chinese Market and Chinese Culture & Language.  His extensive leadership involvement granted him the opportunity to advance innovation, entrepreneurship, and creativity at VSU as a University Innovation Fellow, affiliated with Stanford University and NCIIA.

Currently, Knight is a research assistant in the Department of Engineering, working with a solar panel system project to expand solar panel usage throughout the campus.
