Watermark, a Terraforge company, submitted their site plan for a multi-use new-urbanist development on Ironbridge Road. Watermark is located in the 7,000 block of Ironbridge Road.
According to Chesterfield county documents, they are planning 900 residences and 200,000 square feet of commercial space and have over 400 acres at their disposal.

The company also explains that Watermark offers easy access to major roads, such as Routes 150 and 288, Highway 1/301, and Interstate 95, as well as the Chesterfield County Airport.
County planners say that at this point it doesn’t look like there is anything but a grocery store and gas station planned, but outparcels indicate there is room for other business. The 220,000 square foot planned grocery could also contain other businesses.
One imagines something similar to Chester Village Green in Chester. Currently, Ryan Homes and Gemcraft Homes are building homes in the development. An apartment complex is partially complete.
A rash of grocery stores has been planned for eastern Chesterfield recently. Including the Watermark development, there is a reduced version of a Walmart and a renovation planned of the Meadowbrook Plaza Shopping Center and a Kroger Marketplace similar to that on Midlothian Turnpike.
