Over the weekend, Delegate Rosalyn Dance announced her candidacy for the 16th Senatorial District. This seat was formerly held by Senator Henry L. Marsh who retired on July 3rd.
“I would like to thank Senator Marsh for his dedication and service to the Commonwealth for over 40 years. His commitment to civil rights and equality will continue to be an integral part of the 16th District.” Delegate Rosalyn Dance said when announcing her candidacy. “I look forward to the opportunity to be the Democratic senatorial voice for the constituents of the 16th Senatorial District.”
The Democratic Party of Virginia will set a date for a nomination process in the coming days to determine who will represent democrats in the 16th Senatorial District during the November 4th special election. Each party has until August 15 at 5 p.m. to submit a nominee.
