Woman shot, killed in Kings Forest subdivision

A 25-year-old woman was killed during a domestic-related shooting at her home in the 6300 block of Seti Court in the Kings Forest subdivision on Wednesday, June 23, according to information from Chesterfield County Police.
Chesterfield County Police responded to the scene on Seti Court at 7 p.m. on June 23. Misty D. Bessette was found dead at the scene from an apparent gunshot wound, according to police.
Bessette’s 17-year-old boyfriend has been charged with second degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, police said. The suspect is being held without bond at the Chesterfield County Juvenile Detention Center pending a hearing.
